What to do when Sildenafil and Tadalafil don’t work?

The use of oral medication to solve Erectile Dysfunction is one of the most requested topics on our social networks. And, to solve all doubts about this subject, I’ve created a series with 03 blogs and videos where you will learn about treatments to solve Erectile Dysfunction.

In today’s blog, we will talk about the most popularly known oral medications: Sildenafil and Tadalafil.

How does Sildenafil and Tadalafil work?

Oral drug treatment for erectile dysfunction was launched in 1998. The first to appear in pharmacies were Sildenafil Citrate (better known as Vi4gra) and Tadalafil (better known as Ci4lis). Later other treatments emerged, such as Vardenafila, Lodenafila, among others.

Do Sildenafil and Tadalafil work in all men?

Different from what is thought, these drugs do not act in the same time interval in all patients. Some men have an erection that takes longer than others, needing to take the medicine within a period of up to 2 hours until the moment of sexual intercourse. Therefore, it is necessary for the patient to know himself so as to be aware of how long it takes to have an erection.

The use of oral medication to solve Erectile Dysfunction must be indicated by a doctor who will prescribe the ideal dose for each patient, in addition to observing the side effects.

What to do when Sildenafil and Tadalafil don’t work?

Not all patients with dysfunction can treat the problem with oral medications. This is because Erectile Dysfunction is a disease that progresses in stages, and with this advance some treatments become obsolete and do not provide the patient with the expected result.

There are also cases in which the patient uses the oral medication but, over time, his body becomes unresponsive. This stage causes even greater concerns to the patient than the previous one, where he solved the problem with Sildenafil, for example.

Dr. Paulo Egydio explains that a surgical procedure can be performed, as this article from Folha de S. Paulo shows.

Therefore, it is necessary for the patient to be determined to observe, care for and maintain his health, not only sexual, but also physical.

Some patients live with a lack of sexual desire and libido. This happens because testosterone levels, which is the male hormone, are low. The way to solve this problem so that the use of drug treatment for Erectile Dysfunction is more assertive is to undergo hormone replacement.
