Penile fibrosis is nothing more than a thickening of the internal structures of the member that can affect male sexual life. One of the main consequences is the curvature of the penis.
The formation of the fibrotic plaque is the result of repeated traumas or microtraumas that are not even noticed, whether during sexual relations, when the man sleeps on the erect member, or by wearing very tight underwear for long periods.
This generates scars that, over time, stiffen the involved tissues, which may not recover uniformly along the penis, leading to curvature.
As age progresses, the tissues naturally tend to become even stiffer and thicker. Additionally, some health conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular problems, promote the emergence of fibrosis.
