The Egydio Technique* consists of the improvement of a recognized strategy incorporated in Peyronie’s correction statistics. From a subcoronal incision, multiple vertical incisions are made in patients with penile thinning for greater expansion of penile tissue, while in patients with size loss, horizontal incisions are applied, all geometrically defined, allowing the limb is elongated to the limits of the nerves and urethra.
The strategy authored by Dr. Paulo Egydio, known as Egydio’s Technique, is part of the guidelines of the American Urological Association (AUA), Canadian Urological Association (CAU) and European Association of Urology (EAU) and was developed in a doctoral thesis at the University of São Paulo – USP.
